Almond Butter

Ingredients

  • 185g almonds
  • 1 tsp salt

(that’s it!)

Serves 6 x 30g servings

 

Method

Preheat the oven to 180°.

Place the almonds on a baking tray in the oven for 15 minutes.

Place the almonds and the pinch of salt into a food processor. Blend for 15 minutes.

Keep an eye on the almonds blending away, don’t leave the blender unattended.

 

A little bit extra

 

Almonds are a great source of natural healthy fats. They will also help you get some extra calories into your diet as believe it or not, many of us are not eating ENOUGH calories in order to sustain a healthy weight or even lose it.

Almond butter is great as a dip for cruditee veggies. Robyn also likes to mix it into scrambled eggs, but Lucy thinks this is a bit weird!
