Energy Balls

 

The essentials

 

Ingredients

  • 200g ground almonds
  • 50g flax
  • 170g maple syrup
  • 40g oats
  • 50g raisins
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Serves 15

 

Method

Simply combine all of the ingredients in a bowl.

Make 15 balls with your hands and store in an airtight container once complete.

One serving of our energy balls will give you the following goodness:

Carbs: 13.2g

Fat: 8.3g

Protein: 3.5g

Calories: 142

 

Sometimes we need to up those calories, but don’t want to do it through food that will make you will feel sluggish. Think of the times when you need a quick energy boost, but don’t want to have a full on meal.

These energy balls are high in calories, with the main ingredient being almonds, containing good quality fats.

One of these balls is just less than the amount of calories as our chicken skewers recipe, so they are great for when you want to increase your calorie intake. However, remember with ALL energy balls, whilst they are ‘healthy’ and ‘clean’, don’t think you can eat endless amounts because you need to be wary of those heightened calories!
